Boxmeer, Netherlands, January 28: Hendrix Genetics, a leading global animal genetics company with activities in 25 countries, announced the addition of two members, Johan van Arendonk and Raf Beeren, to its Executive Committee (ExCO), effective April 1, 2020.

The company also announced the resignation of current ExCo member Dave Libertini. With these changes, the ExCo will consist of five members.

“We are delighted to add Johan and Raf to our Executive Committee,” said Antoon van den Berg, Chief Executive Officer. “We welcome them both, and we know that with Johan’s deep scientific roots in breeding and genetics, and Raf’s extensive multi-species business knowledge, our committee will be able to focus on the right areas and lead the organizational change, as we have defined in our Vision 2025 plan. We look forward to the contributions they will both make.”

Johan van Arendonk in his role as Chief Innovation & Technology Officer will be responsible for Research & Development, the company’s Sustainability Program and Innovation portfolio.

Raf Beeren will be promoted from his actual position of Managing Director of the Turkey Business Unit to Chief Operating Officer. In his new role he will lead the business units in the next growth phase of the company.

Dave Libertini will step down but continue in a senior advisory role.

Johan van Arendonk and Raf Beeren will join the remaining members of Executive Committee: Thijs Hendrix (President), Antoon van den Berg (Chief Executive Officer) and Mariette Ferrari (Chief Financial Offer).
